Catch 22 Media partners

Catch 22 is linked with various different media partners and if we are all good boys and girls in the Catch 22 office we will get to do an internship with one of them. It would be a dream to do an internship with....

Bauer Media

With over 80 radio, magazine, TV and online UK media brands, which includes Mojo, Q, heat, GRAZIA, Closer, and FHM, it would be silly not to want to do work experience with Bauer. Bauer Media reaches over nineteen million UK adults across multiple media channels. Bauer owns flagship celebrity weekly Closer which has a weekly circulation of 526,713 and competes with OK! magazine.

My dream placement would be with Mojo, a mag targeted at a predominantly male and affluent audience and with me being a 22 year-old female with a mountain of university debt behind me I think it's a perfect match. So why Mojo? It is now the biggest-circulation paid-for music magazine with an average monthly circulation of 98,484, edging just in front of Bauer's other music magazine Q. In recent news Bauer has been shortlisted to acquire the BBC's £100m magazine portfolio along with three other bidders.

The Economist Group

Brands include the Economist Online, Economist Intelligence Unit, Economist Conferences, Economist Corporate Network and Intelligent Life. The Economist is a weekly international news, politics and business publication like no other. It is printed in five countries, worldwide circulation is now over one million, and The Economist is read by more of the world's political and business leaders than any other magazine. It's competitors include Time and News week.

Why The Economist? It presents worldwide news and politics in an intelligent and thought-provoking way, plus the grammar, punctuation and vocabulary are the epitome of an excellent writing style.


Recently The Economist launched it's first iPhone and iPad apps, setting a target of reaching 1 million subscribers in the next three years.

Conde Nast

Conde Nast is an international magazine publishing company with heavyweights Vogue, Glamour, GQ and Vanity Fair all under their belt. Vogue is Conde Nast's flagship publication with an average circulation of  220,000 a month and competing in the market against Harper's Bazaar.

My favourite Conde Nast publication is easily Wired magazine, covering a broad range of topics and providing an insight into how science and technology shape our world. Conde Nast recently launched iPad editions of December issues of Vogue and Wired.
